The Buckeye Valley Boys Varsity Basketball Team could not overcome a poor shooting night as the Barons fell to visiting Bishop Hartley last night 53-46 in non-league play. The Barons got off to a good start scoring 17 points in the first quarter, but then posted only 3 points in the second quarter. Hartley then used a big third quarter to keep the lead for good. The Barons were led by Owen Osborne who had a great overall game scoring 14 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists. Junior forward Troy Scowden led the Barons in scoring with 19 and grabbed 5 rebounds. Junior guard Mason Kurtz also contributed with 8 points. The Barons will be back in action Friday, January 15 as they travel to Grandview for a Mid-State League game.
