The Buckeye Valley Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell to Worthington Christian in the semifinals of the Mid-State League Ohio Division tournament last night 58-40. The Barons could never consistently get it going on the offensive end, as they were limited to a low shooting percentage on the night. The Warriors used a big scoring burst in the second and third quarters en route to the win. The loss drops the Barons to 12-6 overall on the season. Junior guard Dylan Thompson led the way for the Barons with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Junior forward Troy Scowden added 9 points and 6 rebounds, while junior guard Owen Osborne contributed with 7 points and 3 assists. The Barons will host Grandview Heights on Friday, February 12 in a consolation game of the Mid-State League Ohio Division tournament. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m.
